Responsible
for meeting all portfolio management requirements and procedures, with
the goal of servicing, controlling and growing the existing customer
base while maintaining a positive customer experience. Work with the
Underwriting, Commercial and Portfolio Management teams to ensure
compliance with corporate policy and resolution of operational issues.
Serve as a customer service contact for dealers in assigned portfolio.
Conducts portfolio reviews to ensure quality, risk, and operating standards are met.
Manage and/or monitor management of loans, and where appropriate develops, negotiates and manages collection plans.
Reviews internal systems and reports to identify potential problem loans and initiate proactive resolution.
Assists with process improvement initiatives to reduce
cycle times and increase capacity to the team’s goal of total account
management.
Monitors and controls the operating performance of payments, deficiencies, liquidations and financial trends on assigned
Responds in a timely fashion, and with accuracy to all customer issues such as billing inquiries and credit line increases.
Reviews and reconciles inventory inspections, bank
deposits, bill-of-sale audits, full scope audits and other customer
discrepancies.
Negotiates, provides recommendations and input on credit
file reviews, including financial statements, legal documents and credit
deficiencies.
Works closely with the credit department, account
management team and regional sales to ensure adherence to corporate
policy and to resolve operational issues.
Supports the Portfolio Manager by thinking strategically to
address critical operational needs, ranging from process inefficiencies
to suggestion for training requirements.
Bilingual in English & French a MUST for this role
General knowledge of accounting principles.
3+ years account management and administration experience.
Post-secondary business/accounting education and/or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills demonstrating the ability to recognize deteriorating loan performance.
Process improvement training and expertise (i.e. Lean or Six Sigma training).
Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external clients.
Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with company guidelines.
