Lead
all convergence activities for Rotating Machinery (RM) and execute the
platform vision for developing common designs, common practices and work
closely with the cost-out team. In this role, the Convergence Leader
will report directly to the Rotating Machinery (RM) Platform Leader.

Lead and drive all RM common designs and manufacturing activities across RM products
Develop and executes on convergence roadmap
Work closely with the Product Leaders, Manufacturing, and
Sourcing to develop actionable plans to deliver on commitments.
Recognize when plans are not sufficient and initiate actions to develop a
get-well plan.
Lead brainstorming sessions, WorkOuts, etc.
Take the lead on prioritizing the right tools to be used
Obtain Finance sign-off on benefits, as required
Ensure clear communication with key stakeholders, Engineering/Tech Leader
Ensure that all programs have a clear program leader
assigned (resource allocation), and that the scope of the program is
clearly understood.
Execute programs to which assigned as program owner
Train others in the org as necessary
Provide insight into the latest global trends
Influence key Global / Domestic leaders
Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
Technical knowledge of all RM products designs and manufacturing processes
Ability to make design decisions on convergence without impact on the design integrity
Capability to leverage wider technical community to get buy -in
Experience developing and leading process change
Demonstrated team building, leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with cross-functional global teams
Respected proven team leader with outstanding organization and coordination skills
Able to lead multiple programs in a global matrix organization on aggressive timelines
Able to effectively communicate with and influence the organization to drive change
Track record of developing and driving process change in global teams
Previous experience of leading within an engineering environment.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; PowerPoint and Excel.
Understand technical requirements of rotating machines
Strong facilitation and influencing skills
Ability to develop strategies and execute plans with a sense of urgency
Self-motivated, quick learner
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Prior project management experience is preferred
Black Belt certification is preferred
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred
Proven success embracing and leading change initiatives
Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others and achieve results
