DETAILS:
This position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs to all new and existing fleet assets in Edmonton, Alberta. Job duties also include performing yearly commercial vehicle safety inspections, following a scheduled PM program, managing budgets, environmental and safety compliance and administrative duties, while supporting all departments with safe and reliable equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Interprovincial certification as a Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport Mechanic
- Familiar with maintaining forklifts, walkie riders, floor washers and pallet jacks
- Province of Alberta - Commercial Vehicle Inspectors Certificate
- Strong mathematical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- In order to reduce possibility of injury to self and others the incumbent must be able to read and write English
- Cost exposure to the company is greater than $1,000
- Ability to work alone and be on call when necessary
- Valid Class 1 license
- Forklift experience, preference will be given to individuals with a Forklift Certificate but all must obtain
- Familiar with the safe operation of hand tools
- Team player who shows initiative, reliability and flexibility
- Other duties as assigned
