Job Summary
This
role is responsible for driving sales by providing technical pre-sales
support to Apple Canada’s Enterprise direct sales teams and select
resellers and VARs as assigned. The candidate will work closely with
sales leadership and his assigned account managers, which requires the
technical consultant to play a proactive role in the sales process. The
candidate must have a high level of competence with managing Macs and
mobile devices in complex heterogeneous enterprise IT environments. A
preferred candidate would have a successful track record in developing
and delivering persuasive technical sales presentations and product
demonstrations that clearly communicate Apple's product and technology
benefits and competitive advantages. Ability to work collaboratively
with channel partners to assist in developing their sales pipelines and
identify training needs to enable scaling to fully leverage their
organization’s capabilities.
Key Qualifications
- A successful candidate must have superior presentation skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences. The ability to manage multiple priorities, deal with ambiguity, and execute in a fast paced demanding environment is required. Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills are necessary for success. A strong background in technical knowledge related to iOS or other mobile platforms is required. Mac OS X and Apple product knowledge together with ACSA certification is an asset. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, enterprise VPN solutions and mobile security would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be self-driven, responsive and a quick learner while possessing a strong combination of technical competency, teamwork and excellent oral & written communication skills.
- The position is located in Montreal and travel within Eastern Canada, which includes the Capital Region in Ottawa, the province of Quebec and Atlantic Canada is expected.
- Candidate must be bilingual French & English.
Description
Build
effective relationships at the working level with customers’ technical
personnel.
Work with sales representatives to educate customers about Mac OS X and
iOS enterprise integration capabilities.
Be able to research, assemble and advise on technical solutions
involving MDM, Mobility, BYOD/COPE and varied other market solutions
including those such as retail, sales, service, manufacturing and/or
education.
Have a solid understanding of the market and be able to remove technical
barriers that impede adoption of Apple technology in enterprise IT and
business environments.
Develop and maintain excellent relevant technical skills.
Share your technical expertise with the entire Canadian technical
consultant team.
Use initiative, discretion, and judgment to apply technical solutions to
complex enterprise sales opportunities.
Work with sales and engineering resources to build relationships with
enterprise customers’ technical leadership.
Educate reseller’s technical about Apple technologies and develops
programs to deliver continuous subject matter expert level training.
Deliver technical sales, product and solutions presentations to large
and small groups.
Work independently and remotely with your team to accomplish objectives
with general guidance and direction from management.
Be able to monitor and manage sales pipeline, identifying and working
with your assigned account managers to close opportunities.
Demonstrate great team integration and leadership skills, coordinating
with your account executives to determine your action items and follow
through on activities that close sales.
Work with sales managers and representatives to prioritize and
accomplish tasks required to achieve organizational goals.
Build, manage, execute and monitor an integrated scalable technical plan
that supports the sales goals.
Participate via phone or web collaboration tools with customers
requiring your technical knowledge to convey Apple product capabilities
and compatibility issues.
Work with management to coordinate resolution of challenges, which may
jeopardize future sales.
Education
The
position requires a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience and
5+ years of technical experience in an enterprise environment.
