The following STUDENT position is part of IBM Canada's EPIC (Employment Pathways to Interns & Co-ops) Student Program. This position is only open to students registered in a Canadian University or College program, who have completed a minimum of 2 years of their degree or diploma program, and who MUST be returning to full-time study upon the completion of the temporary IBM work term. JOB TITLE: Software Test Analyst Main Responsibilities include: This role executes the tasks required to fully test an IBM product to ensure it functions according to specifications and client requirements and meets the business needs. Software Testers may set up test environments, design, develop and execute manual as well as automated test cases. Perform functional and regression testing on J2EE web applications. Work with development and cross functional teams to resolve issues. Testers also investigate problems uncovered during testing, recreating those problems as appropriate and executing fix validations. They provide feedback on usability, serviceability and documentation and report status to the appropriate audience. Ideal candidates should be familiar with testing methodologies, tools and techniques. Qualification: Strong analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of the software development cycle The ability to work in a team and as an individual A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work Experience with Java programming and SQL preferred WHAT IBM OFFERS YOU: 1.
