Merchandiser Job Summary:The Merchandiser contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by providing exceptional customer service to either large-format or small-format accounts. This includes merchandising products, freshness rotation, display set up and maintenance, cooler stocking/rotation, storage room organization and movement of product from storage to the sales floor. In addition our Merchandisers are also responsible for growing the business in their territory by creating on-going positive relationships with their customers, negotiating, creating and building in-store displays and setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs, decals and banners.

Key Responsibilities Required:

• Developing business to increase volume and new package distribution within the territory


• Merchandise store shelving, racks, coolers and displays with Pepsi products in accounts assigned by the Supervisor


• Develop all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation and customer service.


• Utilize Point-of-Sale materials in each account


• Eliminate out-of-stocks and out-of-date product through effective order taking


• Keep back room stock in neat and orderly condition, ensure shelving cleanliness is maintained


• Communicate sales results to store and Pepsi management


• Provide excellent service to assigned accounts; create and maintain goodwill with all customers


• Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner


• Complete required paperwork and processes in an accurate and timely manner


• Follow the direction of Management

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent); Bachelor's degree an asset


• Prior merchandising, customer service or sales experience


• Must hold a valid driver's license; Must have reliable vehicle


• Ability to work with minimal supervision


• Demonstrate analytical and organizational skills


• Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite


• Solid oral and communication skills required


• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs and push/pull 150-250lbs frequently for 8-10 hours a day


• Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting and reaching over shoulder both waist level, and from the floor


• Must be able to work shifts and overtime as required
