The Application Architect leads the design and configuration of the Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) application.

The role will include a range of activities from process analysis and gathering functional business requirements to the design and development oversight of the BRM application and its components. In summary, this role is responsible to ensure the deployed application meets the business requirements.

The candidate should also have experience in creating and maintaining design, training and business procedures documentation and delivery of end-user training in the BRM suite key functions of Revenue Generation, Revenue Capture, Revenue Collection and Revenue Analysis


Examples of activities performed by this role are:

• Participates in project planning, organization, direction and control processes
• Analyses software requirements, defines solution parameters and specifications.
• Leads the functional design process by understanding the applications to be used and best practices in designing appropriate solutions
• Negotiates and manages functional scope to reduce business and technical risks
• Plans the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Anticipates future customer, industry and information technology trends.
• Reviews and assess multiple designs and ensure formation of a creative and cohesive solution.
• Manages the fact-finding, analysis and development of projects.
• Assesses business and technical impacts of solution.
• Understands, articulates and addresses business issues, business drivers and needs.
• Plans and facilitates application design sessions. Able to influence direction of a senior management group in/outside application design sessions.
• Plans and facilitates SDLC tasks such as testing, training and deployment
• Conceptualises a solution of significant scope, across multiple business processes
• Manages the client’s expectations so that the resultant system meets their budget and time constraints

Business Skills:
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task within a dynamic workplace
• Thorough experience and knowledge of consulting practices and techniques
• A comprehensive understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods industry leading practices, specifically in the areas of logistics and transportation
• The ability to develop strong relationships with clients, including building rapports and scope-management
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to deliver quality results with an aggressive timeline
• Effective coaching and knowledge transfer skills
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• The ability to thrive in a team environment
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years experience in design and configuration of the Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) application.
  • At least 4 years experience in Consulting
  • English: Fluent
